It’s time for some bling!

The library is teaming up with local Premier Designs independent distributor Michelle Rediger to help both you and the new library look good!

Premier Designs is affordable high-fashion jewelry, and during our library fundraiser, 40 percent of your purchase will go toward furnishing the new library! We have catalogs available to look at at the library, and we’ll have a special jewelry open house on Thursday, Sept. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the library to see some jewelry in person.

Orders are accepted now through Sept. 18. Payment is due at the time of order and can be paid by cash, check or credit card.

El Cerrito effort adds up!

El Cerrito graciously presented us with a check for $712.56 this afternoon – 15 percent of the profits from their sales for Monday through Thursday of this week.

El Cerrito had planned to give 10 percent, but because they saw such an increase in business from people talking about how they wanted to support the library, they upped it to 15 percent!

Thanks to everyone who went out and enjoyed a good meal there this week, and thanks to El Cerrito for giving to this exciting community endeavor!

It’s El Cerrito time!

Have you eaten at El Cerrito yet? Eat there through Thursday and the library gets 10 percent! It’s a tasty way to help us furnish the new library!

Story Hour starts soon

“Something Old, Something New,” the 2010-2011 Story Hour, will begin Sept. 8. The theme is centered around the library’s move to a new building this fall.

Story Hour is each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the library and is for children ages 3 to 6. Story Hour Teacher Darla Harms-Becker promotes an early love of reading through stories and activities.

For more information or to sign up, please contact the library at 620.327.4666 or hesstonpubliclibrary@gmail.com
